What is Character Coaching?
A Character Coach is an approved, trained, and supported FCA volunteer who serves a local team by building relationships, supporting the head coach, and leading short sport-connected devotionals that help athletes grow in character, leadership, and faith.
A Character Coach typically meets with a team once a week for 10–15 minutes before or after practice.
These short huddles are for student-athletes who choose to attend.
Character Coaches help fill the gap between coaching the sport and developing the complete athlete.

Are You Called To Be A Character Coach?
If you love Jesus, care about students, and want to serve local teams, Character Coaching may be a great fit for you.
FCA will help you through the next steps, including approval, training, and placement with a team.
You do not have to be a professional speaker. You simply need to be willing to show up, serve well, build relationships, and point athletes to Christ.
